Hi, everyone. I was wondering-- if someone were going to sail (preferably without motor propulsion) from Melbourne to Java, what are the pros and cons of going around west by way of Perth versus going up the east coast and around or through the GBR and along the north coast of Australia in the Timor Sea? And does it make a difference for the time of year? How do the prevailing winds and ocean currents affect things, as well as likely weather encountered?
