Anyone planning or had recent experience with the Mozambique Channel? I picked up a cruising guide dated 1998 which is helpful but curious if there is any political instability or troubled areas to avoid. My guess would be to head for Nosy Be and work my way down the Madagascar side, north to south, if the continent is particularly troubled. Cruising guide says it's mostly southeasterlies up until August/September or thereabouts.
