Does anyone have recent experience of cruising in Myanmar - particularly the Mergui Archipelago. Any information will be appreciated. We are hoping to cruise there this Dec 2012 / Jan 2013. Cheers

Hi Jo, check out the noonsite info. (http://www.noonsite.com/Countries/Myanmar%28Burma%29), an area little visited by cruisers but the 2 reports there should give you an idea of costs and formalities etc. Also worth contacting EcoSwiss - http://www.noonsite.com/Members/sue/R2010-08-01-1/view, a non profit organisation that sail there, they may well be able to help out with the latest facts. Our formalities info. was last checked and updated for Myanmar in November last year, so should be pretty up to date. Please do feedback any changes or updates or useful info. for cruisers you come across to editor@noonsite.com. Many thanks
