WX ARC Caribbean 1500
04 Nov

Prepared: November 04 10:02z FM: Weather Routing Inc. (WRI)
Synopsis:

A trough of low pressure currently extends from the central Bahamas N'ward towards Cape Hatteras. This trough will remain nearly stationary through tomorrow afternoon, then broaden and weaken through the afternoon of the 06th.

High pressure located over Quebec will move E'ward across Prince Edward Island and Nova Scotia through tomorrow evening, followed by/toward 45N/35W through late 06th. This high will extend moderate ridging into across the Mid Atlantic today and this will tend to broaden/weaken tonight through tomorrow. By tomorrow evening, a broad ridge axis will extend from Virginia/North Carolina E'ward along/near 35N and this will persist through the 07th as the axis of the ridging shifts s'ward nearer to 30N by am/07th.
Late 06th, a cold front will extend SW'ward from New England to the Chesapeake. This front will then slow near/just north of Cape Hatteras am/07th, only drifting s'ward through am/08th.

Conclusion: Enhanced NE winds now in place will weaken through tonight as ridging creating the wind weakens and shifts NE'ward. Conditions within the Grid AA will be relatively benign wind-wise tomorrow though there will be somewhat larger seas due to the residual effects of earlier wind. Winds and seas will both tend higher offshore through tomorrow. As the ridging shift offshore and south,. Winds in AA will veer to a more SW'ly direction but remain fairly benign as the front approaching from the NW will be weakening through early 07th. The broad ridge will also lead to generally light winds and low seas/swell in grids BB and DD also, in particular from tomorrow night through the 07th.
