Volcanic mounds rising majestically
Peaks shrouded in cloud
Hundred shades of green
Suddenly on the horizon

Birds surfing the waves for fish
The long swell gradually gone
Winds shifting around the land
Coastal sailing has returned

A harbour entrance navigated safely
Yachts snoozing on anchor
Yellow shirts waving arrival
Friends new and old reconnected

The yacht finally at rest
Her job well completed
An amazing adventure for all aboard
She truly gave her best

The emotions of finishing beginning to come
Pride and wonder welcoming success
Skippers responsibility finally eased
