Thereafter, trough will weaken while shifting SE to extend across Puerto Rico and the Leeward Islands thru 16th.A ridge of high pressure currently extends SE across SE US towards Bahamas. BEHIND  THIS FRONT, LOW LEVEL INSTABILITY IS OBSERVED AS COOLER CONTINENTAL AIR IS  FLOWING OVER THE RELATIVELY WARM WATERS OF THE ATLANTIC TO GENERATE NUMEROUS  LOW TO MID LEVEL CLOUDINESS AND EMBEDDED RAIN SHOWERS. HIGH PRESSURE CURRENTLY SOUTHEAST OF THE NEW ENGLAND COAST WILL RAPIDLY  PROGRESS E'WARD THROUGH THE CENTRAL ATLANTIC TO JUST WEST OF THE AZORES BY LATE  SUNDAY. THIS FRONT IS EXPECTED TO CONTINUE MOVING  E'WARD THROUGH THE DAY, AND COULD BE ACCOMPANIED BY A BRIEF SQUALL OR SHOWER,  ESPECIALLY ACROSS THE N'RN GRIDS. IN ITS WAKE, HIGH PRESSURE WILL BUILD E'WARD  FROM TENNESSEE TO NORTH CAROLINA'S OUTER BANKS BY THIS EVENING. THIS FRONT WILL MOVE SE'WARD, AND WILL EXTEND FROM 33N/75W  NE'WARD TO 41N/65W BY THE NIGHT OF THE 17TH. FRONT THEN MOVES E'WARD AND ACROSS  BERMUDA ON THE 18TH, THEN DISSIPATES.A RIDGE OF HIGH PRESSURE EXTENDS FROM 33N/60W E'WARD TO 30W. THIS RIDGE WILL  SHIFT E'WARD AND WILL EXTEND FROM 34N/35W S'WARD TO 15N ON THE 19TH.
