The World Cruising Club event team have once again arrived to a warm welcome by the staff at the Mindelo Marina. Preparations are underway for the first arrivals expected in the early hours of Friday morning. The fleet got off to a quick start from Las Plamas with a fresh N/E wind which has since subsided resulting in a calmer sea state.
Over the coming days the World Crusing Club yellow shirts will be greeting yachts through the day and night. Once all the fleet are safely docked they will be able enjoy the stunning Island of Sao Vicente. The marina has a backdrop of rolling hills and is located right in the centre of Mindelo where participants can enjoy fresh local seafood. The programme for the rest of the week includes a traditional welcome party, visits to Santo Antao island and the prize giving for the first leg of the rally.
