It was another
early start to the day, but this time to weigh anchor, following which we
enjoyed a lovely motor-sail to Malolo Lailai Island. At last we felt we had
arrived somewhere in Fiji that reflected everything we had read about.
After our lunch of tropical fruit to celebrate our little spot of tropical
paradise, we headed ashore to become
members of one of the most exclusive yacht clubs in the world, the Musket Cove Yacht Club; exclusive because
one can only become a member if you have sailed from or are sailing to a
foreign port.
With our membership cards in hand and having snooped around the facilities, we
were heading back to Paw Paw when we encountered another surprise. First Do
Over, on the dinghy dock, then a visit from another World ARC yacht, Blue
Summit (Kate and Steve) who dinghied over to Paw Paw to say hello. Needless to
say, this called for another World ARC Drop Out get-together. All that was
missing was Nina and Kiwi Beanz who are in Vuda Point and Denarau marinas
respectively. Maybe, before we all head to New Zealand, we’ll get everyone
together for a Bon Voyage party!
