Weather BVI to Bermuda 09 May

Synopsis: Moderate ridging currently extends SW into E Caribbean Sea from High near 37N/45W. Ridging will gradually broaden into the 12th, as the center tracks over Azores, strengthening.

By midday 09th, a cold front will extend SW across SE Bahamas to Cuba from Low centered East of Wilmington DE. Low will strengthen as it tracks NE over Newfoundland into evening of 10th, as the cold front persists over central Bahamas. Low will merge with a stronger low then centered over Labrador.

On the evening of 10th, a second cold front will extend SW along the US East Coast from a strong low centered over Labrador. This cold front will track E across Bermuda 12th, as the low strengthens into a storm off the Labrador coast.

Conclusion:
Zone B: E-SE winds will be the weakest compared with Zone C with moderate to fresh with winds gusting into the middle 20s into morning of the 10th. Winds will be strongest in the S part of the zone. Winds across the zone will become gentle to moderate by morning of 11th. SE swell up to 7ft this morning will gradually lower thru evening of 11th.

Zone C: winds will be similar to Zone B, but will gust into the lower and middle 30s at times into the evening of 10th, with the strongest winds being found within the S part of the zone. Gentle to moderate winds are expected later on 11th. SE swell up to 8ft at times thru evening of 11th.
