The ocean has a hypnotic effect on me. I love being in, on or under the water so it doesn’t take long to forget the events of yesterday and move forward. Especially with the conditions we are in and with a fresh fish on the table.
We have just enjoyed sushi for 5 with some cool tunes playing, a following sea, blue skies and 15kts of breeze. Life could not be better.
Hayley is very skilled in the kitchen and makes great sushi by hand but with my clumsy fingers I need to cheat so we have a sushi rolling machine. You load it up, pull the plastic bar and ‘voila’, a perfect rainbow maki roll pops out. Hayley marinated fresh Mahi Mahi in Sriracha, then did a mix with a combo of either avocado, cucumber, carrot in Nori seaweed with soy and wasabi. Perfect!
