Nutcracker - Log Day Three - A day of B's

What's the fastest way to focus the mind? The discovery of a bilge full of
water. Oh S**T.

A quick inspection clarified that as it was fresh, and with no one really
sure as to where it came from we elected to sponge it out and hope for the
best. The Skip, regretting his decision to enforce a dry ship, wondered if
it was possible to make moonshine - any recipe ideas much appreciated. The
job of sponging fell to the two youngest members and armed with a bucket
(insert joke here) the job was done.

We then saw something quite breathtaking, Simon in the galley! And lunch
being prepared!

Another boat! Well technically a ship, but it confirmed that were not
totally alone, and now a bird! Sadly the feathery kind, but what excitement.
Far more exciting than realising the water maker leaks and the sat phone
doesn't work - you can imagine the steam from the ears of certain portions
of the crew.

What. A. Day.

The Cabin Boys Nautical Notes:

As the cabin boy is asleep I'll have to fill in.

Wind ENE 2-4 decreasing 3 later, sea state - more indecisive than Theresa
May, air temp a disappointing 20 degrees (although the stir fry is piping
hot). Around 50 miles from Cartegena and 120 from Punta Negra - anticipating
these conditions to hold through the night (except the stir fry which will
rapidly cool).

Dad Joke of the Day

'Wow, a boat, a bilge full of water and now a bird. The day has flown by'
