Lexington - 4/10/17. Kauehi atoll

We are still anchored in Kauehi atoll just outside the village. We have been relatively lazy just enjoying the environment.
Yesterday I got out my new hookah equipment. I bought a unit for the trip. Hookah is a name for surface based diving with some sort of compressor on a boat or floating on an inner tube. Since it was brand new it took a little time to get it set up. I wanted to make sure it seemed to work well. Everything went well in the setup and the little gas powered engine started easily.
I am a certified scuba diver so I am not going off too half cocked. We tied the floating compressor to the boat at first. Everything seemed to be working well but I wanted a little more experience so I went over to an ARC boat that had arrived yesterday morning. They had mentioned that they needed to clean their hull and only used a snorkel. I helped them clean their boat. I could easily get to the very deep parts that were hard for them to get to with a snorkel. The hull was not that bad. I do not know how long we worked but I had no problems. I came back to our boat to give it a cleaning but ran into a major problem.....it was Happy Hour and there is a rule here that you have to respect Happy Hour. Actually, we had invited guests and I needed to get ready. Luckily they were not johnny on the spot and I was cleaned up by the time they were here. I will finish cleaning our hull today.
I have been thru my morning routine this morning. I am having my coffee. I have eaten my mango and only have three left and I have read my morning email. Since I do not have watches I am writing my post in the morning.
We will be moving on soon to Fakarava, a nearby atoll which is larger and more populated. I am trying to set up a few scuba dives thru a regular scuba business.
I will attach a photo of the hookah and the nearby beach.
May fair winds fill your sails with clean bottoms??? Bob
