Paw Paw - Log Day 81: Sundowners Followed by More Sundowners

It was a bright and early start for us this morning as we headed to Tahuata. Not long after we departed we had a convoy with Barbara Jean, Do Over and Belafonte following in hot pursuit. It was a great sail on headsail alone in 15 to 18 kts of wind which allowed us the opportunity to arrive in plenty of time to explore the various anchorages before deciding where we wanted to anchor for the next few days.

We eventually decided on Baie Hanamoenoa or, as it is fondly referred to as "Stephen's Bay", named after the loan inhabitant who lives just off the beautiful sandy beach. As it turned out, half of the WARC fleet had also decided this idyllic bay was the best spot. After a snorkel, followed by early sundowners on Paw Paw with the folks off Belafonte, we all headed over to Widago to join the entire fleet anchored in the bay for a second round of sundowners.

By then getting in and out of the dinghy proved to be somewhat difficult, b ut fortunately there were no unexpected plunges. A comfort meal of "bangers and mash" topped off another lovely day in paradise.
