Our start from Mindelo was a lot more comfortable than our start from Las Palmas. Calm winds and small waves. We chose to go south to get steadier winds and hope this will pay off in the long run. We expect this part of our journey to last about 16 days. So far spirits are high and we have had several encounters with dolphins of different sizes and colors + see flying fishes all the time. Two jumped right into the boat last night.
We work with a schedule of three hours on shift, then six hours off. This seems to be working well.
