If you are planning to sail ARC or World ARC and are interested in help choosing a boat or equipment for an ocean sailing, you are warmly welcome to our Blue Water open day at Bullandö Marina outside Stockholm.
It will be a full day of activities with the opportunity to meet experienced long-distance sailors and experts from suppliers of products and services for long-distance sailing. Visit boats that will sail ARC and those that have sailed. Meet old friends and make new acquaintances. Everyone is welcome, whether you have sailed, are going to sail or dream of the open sea!
Non-Swedish speakers are most welcome to join us!

The ARC Blue Water Day is a unique opportunity to discover more about Blue Water cruising and the long-distance sailing life. Meet like-minded sailors and listen to a seminar with skippers who share their best tips.
Whether you already have a "dream boat", or are in the "dream stage", our Blue Water Day may be able to help you on your way. Talk to experts, meet skippers who have sailed the ARC and mingle with like-minded long-distance sailors. Get ideas and inspiration from skippers and knowledgeable experts in various fields associated with Blue Water sailing and long-distance sailing.

Come and go during the day as we offer a rolling program where you can:
- Listen to exciting presentations and discussions with ARC skippers and suppliers
- Visit our mini-fair with suppliers of equipment for Blue Water sailing
- Visit ARC boats and talk to skippers
- See and visit used boats

During the day, we offer exciting seminars in several areas, including:
- 09:30 Registration and coffee break
- 10:00 Choosing a boat and (out)equipping a boat for long-distance sailing What should you consider when buying a boat, especially internationally? Emil Alm, Nordic Yachts gives tips and answers questions.
- 10:30 Safety on board Seapax has many years of experience in safety equipment on board. Kristina Frii talks about what to consider
- 11:00 Rig Fredrik Söderholm, Benns Mast & Rigg gives its best tips.
- 11:30 Sail Parasailor, how does one work? listen to Bojan Michiels van Kessenich and Mats Johansson from Gran Segel & Rigg.
- 12:00 Sailing ARC/ARC+/World ARC Rachel Hibberd from World Cruising Club tells more about the different sailings.
- 12:45 No own boat Segla Charter, Lars Hedman from Sandvita but many years of experience from ARC sailing, and Johan Axelsson and Thomas Darholm from Celeste talk about the opportunity to sail around the world with World ARC.

- 13:30 Marine Insurance Properly insured with Baltzar Weinhagen of Pantaenius
- 14:00 Sailing with children Sailing with smaller children and with children in school. What to consider and how to do it? Sofia Olofsson (s/y Ellinora) and Susanna Edman (s/y Liv)
- 14:30 Safety equipment on board Mats Runström, WCC Safety Inspector, walks through one of our ARC boats at the dock and talks with the boat owner about equipment etc.
- 15:30 Two laps around the world with the Wennberg family
- 17:00 Sundowner We end the day on the pier with a traditional Sundowner.

ARC-Ready Open Boats
During the day you can also talk to several suppliers of products and services for long-distance sailing such as Nordic Yachts, TyMar Marinelektronik, Raymarine, Stefan Nilsson Sjösäkerhet AB, Gransegel, Seapax, Benns Mast & Rigg, Pantaenius, Berthon International, Sailing Adventures with Celeste and Sandvita .
During the day there is the opportunity to try out an inflated life raft and why not "try swimming" with your life jacket, Seapax is here to help.
There will also be ARC or World ARC boats on site who are happy to show off their boats and their big and small smart solutions for life on board.
From 17:30 there will be a traditional ARC Sundowner - stop for a drink and mingle.

VIP ARC Rally Cruisers' Dinner
After the Bluewater Open Day, we are pleased to invite all participants during the day, former ARC, World ARC, ARC+ and ARC Europe skippers and crew to dinner at sunny Bullandö Krog. So it doesn't matter if you have sailed, or are about to start your adventure - everyone is welcome! This social evening is a great way to meet new and old sailing friends and catch up on sailing stories. We have booked about 40 places, sit with whoever you want. The three-course menu (see below) is 495 SEK. You are responsible for your own invoice.
