In Tune - IN TUNE Sat 9th December. Fish don't eat Twix or Kit Kat

Last night and today have been pretty good weather-wise. We get an occasional rain squall, which sends the wind crazy, but mostly it's mild wind of about 10 knots - not enough to set any speed records, but we are still doing about 5.5 knots with no stress at all under the Parasailor. Seas are 2 - 3 metres. No meteor showers last night

Today has been easy sailing with sunny conditions all morning. We moved about 75 litres of diesel fuel from containers in the anchor locker and transferred to the fuel tank - moving a bit more weight aft. We listened to the next few chapters of "Endurance" - the story of Ernest Shackleton's party attempt to cross Antartica. About every 2nd day we walk the decks to check the running rigging for any chafe (wear). Steve has stopped fishing ostensibly because there is too much weed. In reality it's because we have run out of lures and the fish won't bite on the home-made ones of twix or kit kat wrappers.

But the big item today was to clebrate - Geraldine cooked bacon, sausage & scrambled eggs for lunch. We celebrated: our 2nd week at sea, now more than 2/3 of the passage completed, and less than 1000 NM to go. I calculated that, at this speed, we should arrive in St Lucia about midnight next Saturday. Dinner tonight is pizza.
