It’s Friday and Bayona knows it! The sun has decided to come out to give a warm welcome to our fleet which will be having their welcome party at Monte Real Club de Yates tonight. Three-quarters of the boats are now here, with a further two expected into Bayona this afternoon, and the final two arriving tomorrow - Saturday 9th.
This evening's Sangria party will be followed by a dinner at the near-by ‘El Tunel’ restaurant, where the crews will be enjoying a delicious Galician menu, and getting a chance to catch up on shared tales from their Biscay crossing.
With a total of 14 yachts in, the rally team have opened the ARC Portugal mobile office today, a pattern that is follwed as we cruise down the coast of Portugal for the next two weeks as the rally swaps from offshore mode, to cruising mode .
