Skyelark 2 - Thanks giving feast on Skyelark 2



We don't need much of an excuse for a party on board, so with thanks giving falling during the voyage it was an opportunity not to be missed..

Father and Son team Eric and Oliver accepted the challenge, which - like the cream bruleee - was thrown down over one of our team building pre departure meals. At this point no one really has any idea of what cooking at sea is like. The idea of hosting 10 people you only just met to a mid ocean dinner party, prepared in a small and rolling galley would be enough to concern a seasoned yacht chef - but the anxiety never showed and they took the task with admirable enthusiasm. Whist in Las Palmas lists got made, provisions taken in and a plan was formed.

Canapes with smoked salmon and cream cheese.

Chilled carrot and ginger soup

Chicken stuffed with goat cheese and spinach - Sweet Potato mash topped with toasted marshmallows - Green beans and silvered almonds, Chorizo stuffing- home made gravy - home made cherry and Rioja sauce.

Almond cake for dessert.
