Something a bit different to my usual drivel

Rolling down to St Lucia

We are the jovial crew of
The Cerulean of Penryn
We are a yacht under the ARC plus flag
It's 3000 miles across the Atlantic
by way of Capo Verde
We're rolling down to St Lucia

After we drank Las Palmas dry
and handed our gold to the chandlery
We sailed from Gran Canary
Bound for the delights of
Mindelo in Sao Vincente
We're rolling down to St Lucia

Now the butter has melted
we have turned our bow to west
We are running the N'East trades
In search of a jug of rum
In St Lucia's Rodney Bay
We're rolling down to St Lucia

The bosun plays a tune on the ukulele
The flying fish jump into the pan
with a flick of their tail
The the mate brews tea for the crew
The admiral bakes a cake for all
We're rolling down to St Lucia

With the jib poled out
and the main tied back
we've sailed 1600 miles out from Mindelo
only 500 to go, hooray
w'll taste the rum before the week is out
We're rolling down to St Lucia

Old Harry the windvane taking the helm
With a steady a course as any man
six knots, seven knots may be eight
lets hope this North East Wind hold out
Let the squalls roll on by
We're rolling down to St Lucia
