Degree of Latitude - Log Day 3 - Steady as She Goes!

Ahoy there, nautical greetings from John, Mark, Tony, Me and of course Archie the Teddy (he say's 'growl' in a friendly way and giving you all a furry wave!!).

We have now been a sea for almost 3 days, although it seems a lot longer since we left Las Palmas, which shows how well we are all adjusting to life on board. All is going really well, and Degree of Latittude is doing us proud. We are averaging at least 7 knots and currently on a South Westerly heading. A bit more South to do before heading West towards the Caribbean!

Unfortunately, Tony and I went down with a rather unpleasant cold virus literally hours after leaving Gran Canaria, so we are both feeling'pants', and I also have a stomach upset so not able to eat!! I think there will be rather a large pile of food left over by the end of this trip, and hopefully, a bigger gap around my waistband!

So, currently, Tony and I are on watch, and taking things easy. I am sitting facing the stern watching 2 boats on the far horizon behind us, and listening to my ipod, thinking of everyone at home. Tony is doing sextant sights again, getting better, only 5 miles out compared with the GPS yesterday. So, that's all for today.

Nothing really exciting to report. Just that we are all doing fine.

Lots of love to everyone.

Katy
