Lexington - Captain Bob: St Helena

We have been exploring St Helena. We arrived on the 17th. Today we went on a whale shark boat tour. Unfortunately we drove around for 4 hours with out seeing any whale sharks. That was just the luck of the draw. I looked around the town for part of the afternoon. Tonight we had a party put on by the local visitor committee. It was very nice. They had a good band and some of us old farts danced until we turned into pumpkins at the time of the ferry ride back to our boats.
I will attach a photo or two
The first is a photo of Jacobs Ladder which is 699 steps up to the top where there are more houses. It was originally a trolley car system on an inclined plane. There were small carts that they hauled ammunition up to the forts. They also hauled their donkey dung up and out of the valley.
The second is the Main Street of the town
May fair winds fill your sails with enough energy to climb Jacobs Ladder.
Bob
