Wethomi - //WL2K 4. December 2016

Now we are aiming directly to the north coast of St. Lucia. But the wind is coming from behind. Bad for a sailing ship. So we are gibing now and then to get at least some speed with roaming winds.
Later we saw the difference between old and modern. We were sailing along a squall front. Sails already reefed because of fear of heavy gusts out of the squalls. Dolphins around us. Spectacular clouds. Then there came a big sailing vessel from behind - first ship for 2 weeks; maybe from the normal ARC. Full mainsail, huge gennaker., making 12 knots. They seemed not to be anxious of the bad weather. Always full speed. Modern times . We were not jealous.

What else happened?
Had fresh bread. Caught no fish; do not know why they don't bite anymore.
380 NM to St. Lucia
