Paw Paw - Log Days 279 & 280: World ARC Activities Club

With some of the World ARC Drop Outs still together at Musket Cove, we wasted no time in getting together for lunch yesterday to finalise the Activities Club itinerary after the reconnaissance of the sandbar, where we enjoyed a fabulous morning of snorkeling, which was definitely worth a second visit.

Yesterday evening we enjoyed another game of Mexican Train Dominoes with Nina. This time at the Island Bar accompanied by a light dinner. Then, this morning, perfectly timed to coincide with low tide, the dinghy convoy from Paw Paw, Nina and Kiwi Beanz set off for the sandbar for a morning of snorkeling, followed by beachcombing on the sandbar itself and where the boys from Kiwi Beanz thoroughly enjoyed themselves by building a "starfish farm" for all the baby starfish they found. This second visit for us proved very worthwhile as the water was even clearer than yesterday, revealing the beautiful coral and a greater variety of fish.

By early afternoon we had all worked up a thirst, so it was back to the Island Bar for drinks, followed by lunch at Trader's Cafe, where Blue Summit arrived unexpectedly. With that we nearly had the whole Drop Outs fleet together. Unfortunately we were now missing Do Over - Nevermind. "Close, but no cigar!".

Unfortunately this evening's paddleboarding excursion had to be postponed due to the premature arrival of the forecasted stronger winds.

With that we returned to Paw Paw, where Elaine ensured all the sporting equipment was cleaned and stowed to meet the New Zealand entry criteria, while Roy fixed the crack in one of our water tanks.
