Paw Paw - Log Day 266: Living on the Leeward Side

Following a great night sleep after calling Ireland last night to wish Elaine's mom a Happy 75th Birthday and hearing that she enjoyed her surprise gift which had just arrived for the start of her day, we were up early again. This time to give Paw Paw some much needed TLC - a detailed cleaning. While Elaine did the inside, Roy did the cockpit area and helm station before diving to do the propellers and part of the hulls.

It's taken us all day and we're still not done. However, once we get the dive tank refilled, we'll both get in the water to finish the hulls and then complete the decks. What a job!

Of course, Murphy's Law - No sooner had we cleaned everything that our energy levels would allow, when a fire ashore sent soot all over the deck. Grrrrr! Fortunately we managed to get all the hatches closed just in time and the wind was strong enough to blow everything back off the decks. Oh, the joys of living on the leeward side of islands where the wind carries all the dust and pollution towards you!
