Paw Paw - Log Day 221: Saying Goodbye to Beautiful Samoa

Tonight, after a delicious tuna fest on board and sitting on the trampoline under a beautiful full moon, we can't help but reflect on the wonderful time we've had in Samoa. There aren't too many places that we have visited during our sailing adventures where we feel we are leaving are hearts behind. Tomorrow morning we will say our goodbyes to beautiful Samoa as we set sail for Tonga, taking with us the fondest of memories.

Today, after completing all the officialdom of clearing out we made a last stop at the fresh produce and fish markets, enjoyed one last lunch at the Milani Caffé, filled our diesel jerry cans, topped up on dinghy petrol and finally collected Elaine's "poletasi" (Traditional Samoan dress). Since it's a more formal outfit, she's looking forward to wearing it to a nice upscale restaurant at some point in the future, maybe for our upcoming wedding anniversary or Roy has suggested that she wear it at her next wedding - Fighting talk for someone who is about to venture out onto the open ocean with an Irish lass!
