Paw Paw - Log Days 136 & 137: Time with Cattiva

With Maria feeling better, we enjoyed a day with Cattiva before their return to Tahiti and then back to Canada for a visit, with the likelihood of us only seeing them again in Tonga.

After Elaine had caught up on laundry and Roy had helped Maurice with some computer matters, we picked up Maria and Maurice and headed for the Moorea Hilton Resort and Spa for a delicious lunch of Yellowfin Tuna Tartare ( Elaine) and Poisson Cru ( Everyone else) at their beach restaurant.

Then, while everyone retired to the lounge, Elaine took advantage of going for a swim and snorkel off the beach, as she has been unable to swim off the back of Paw Paw, given that she can't get back onboard at the moment with her back issue.

As things transpired the swim worked wonders and today we were able to take a dinghy ride around the entire shoreline of Opunohu Bay and then snorkel the underwater tiki sculptures, with Roy giving Elaine a "helping hand" to get back in the dinghy or rather, propelling her into the dinghy using her bottom to boost her.

We spent our last evening with Cattiva playing Mexican Train Dominoes which was a fitting end to a wonderful day, since they had first taught us to play the game in Bonaire. It will be an evening fondly remembered for lots of laughs and giggles.

We also had a surprise visit from Daniel on Heidi 2.0. They didn't leave the Society Islands with the rest of the WARC fleet due to engine problems, but are hoping to catch up with the fleet by either Nuie or Tonga after they set sail tomorrow.

And, so, we wish Cattiva and Heidi 2.0 fair winds and following seas.
