We have moved the clock back another hour to get closer to Antigua time so the distance is over 25 hours not 24.

Yesterday mid-afternoon saw a large pod of dolphins join the boat and swim with us for a long time. We were able to get some good pictures and some good GoPro footage of them swimming with us. Some of us sat on the bow seats and on the trampoline nets and could see them joshing with each other for position right under our bows. We could clearly see them looking up at us and turning on their sides watching what we were doing. There was plenty of whistling and clapping from us to encourage them along.  There ability to accelerate away in front of the boat with seemingly very little effort or tail movement is amazing.

It was great weather and sunshine all afternoon and evening with sunset at just after 5pm and moonrise at 8pm.  There were a few drops of rain in the late evening until the dark clouds that had gathered passed over us. At around 9pm there was a loud thump on the lower deck near the helm and a large 1’ long flying fish was found frantically flapping its way towards Glens open hatch. Within inches of falling into the cabin it was retrieved and returned to the sea flapping its large wings. The fishy smell of it was extremely strong and we were glad Glen was spared that new addition to his cabin.

At 8am this morning we passed through the last 200nm to go to St Lucia and have been counting down the miles since. We should be at St Lucia late morning tomorrow.

We can feel a noticeable rise in temperature today along with the swell which seems to have increased markedly again. Not only are there very large waves behind his but occasionally we get them from the side too making for interesting progress. The boat is handling it all very well and we feel very safe but moving about entails careful timing and hand holds even for the most experienced sailors amongst us.

We left Antibes on 25th October and so will be pleased to get on another stage of our passage to our destination of Antigua, stopping at the end of the ARC+ in St Lucia tomorrow by when we will have covered around 4800nms.

Another delicious lunch and dinner thanks to Audrey & Caitlin who have been nearly full time in the galley also preparing and planning ready for the Boatshow.

Everyone on board is good and looking forward to reaching St Lucia.
