Albatros - Nov. 27 at 10:23 am

Albatros update: My morning shift starts at 8. At 7:30 I sit at the end of our boat, the Albatros. It is still dark, no lights to be seen anywhere, no other ships. But in front of us: the full moon. Above us the stars. And then, slowly, majestically the sun starts to rise and light up our world. Thus begins my day at sea.

We are making a good course, and in my previous night shift we have hit squalls, those clouds with the dark belly. Stormy and rainy for all but 30 minutes, about 30kn of wind, and she, our proud ship, enjoying every second of it, rides like a madman, or rather mad women, through the deep darkness. Thus ended my previous shift, last night at 2 am.

Ok, time to head for the helm again. My 20 minutes are about to start. Let's see what this day brings. [Boris]
