Timshel - Log Day 5 More trials and tribulations

Days run 300 - 1300 125.8nm. Friday 13 not over, next the cruising chute fell in the water - the top of the snuffer that attaches to the halyard had come apart. It makes a good sea anchor, but slowly managed to haul it aboard and stuff it down the forehatch. The snuffer gave even more drag, Steve managed to pull that in and managed to unhook it from the self steering rudder with a boathook. So more jobs and will have to go up the mast to recover the halyard. Gybed and set the yankee poled out instead. It was a dark night, no stars, no moon, no other boats, but lots of phosphorescence. The line for the towed Aquair generator was covered in sparkly bits as I pulled it in. A couple of flying fish on deck but not enough for breakfast. Some confusion for the morning SSB net as no Net controller had been appointed; Cookelu Meu stepped in. Maybe we are all supposed to be there by now, as no weather forecast email either? I presume those of us still out here will all converge tonight?
