Nexus - Beautiful Sailing in the Indian Ocean

A day of beautiful fast sailing in the Indian Ocean!. We're on white sails alone as we are short handed, however Nexus has been making great time with the apparent wind on the beam. We continue to see abundant wildlife, and actually watched the dolphins in our bow wave today feed on the flying fish we scare up. They would cruise next to the bow and dart out to the side with amazing speed as we scared flying fish to take flight. They would snap one up and return in an instant. We're about 100 miles south of Indonesia, and we sailed past numerous fishing boats all around us last night, with bright white lights, spreading a large glow in the darkness. Some of them were tending to large floats with colored blinking lights on them, not sure if they were nets or long lines but we were in two miles of water at the time. Early this morning a fellow in a small blue wooden skiff with an outboard on it approached NEXUS to take a look, and motored slowly on past without a wave or a smile. Kind of creepy! Today we have fair skies and good wind from the SE, and we're enjoying a good sail again. We hope to be in Christmas Island tomorrow afternoon at this pace.
