Defyr - Towards Lagos: dodging whales

We had a very slow start with basically no wind at all. Everyones genakers and spinakers were like flat balloons hanging from the masts. Most of us started motoring till clear of the island. Now we are already 35 nm away from Santa Maria and we are indeed sailing! Plus we can see other boats with sails as well.

We have seen so many whales for the last few hours that it's amazing. One was WAY too close and we had to alter the course and another one was swimming towards us so we put the engine on. Jaakko was glad to spot a whale for the first time in his life, but was hoping it to be the last time! They are scary huge!

Annika is feeling seasick and I am suspecting that she is wearing a basic Salvequick instead of the anti-seasickness bandage. I forced her to check it out and INDEED it was just a basic bandage...

In the last skippers briefing we handed out Defyr's Atlantic crossing bingo.
