Lexington - Another Long Run for Short Slide

Sam, Karen and I went for a long walk to a waterfall today at the end of Daniel's Bay. Other people had done it so we knew a little of what we were in for. The whole venture took us about 5 hours. We took the dinghy for a short ride to a beach around the corner from where we were anchored. The first of the walk was easy along a path or trail with a few Iittle huts along the path. Then we came upon Paul. He was the owner of the land where the water falls was located. Before there was never a charge but now he was charging 10$ per person. With that he gave us several pamplemousse (grapefruit), bananas, mangoes and limes. The walk was thru jungle along a muddy rocky path that was probably thousands of years old. There were old stone foundations and some tikis along the way. We finally got to the falls. We ate a little packed lunch, walked back, picked up our fruit and came back to the boat. We all swam and washed off in the ocean and then showered. We have taken a nap and are going out to eat on Zeeland with the people we shared happy hour with last night. They are brave to invite 4 to their boat for dinner. I will post a photo or two. May fair winds fill your sails with the stamina for adventure! Bob
