Timshel - Panama to Galapagos Day 6

Finally got a little wind, after a couple of failed attempts managed to get the boat sailing at 05.30 making 4 knots or so in 6 or 7 knots of true wind. We realised we need at least this much wind to sail. Slow but good for this trip. And it lasted for nearly 12 hours, but with speed dropped to 2 knots and sadly the favourable tide had slacked off, we doused the chute and started the engine again at 1700 this evening. At least the engine got a rest, and we calculate that we ALMOST have enough fuel to make it now. Events of note - a bird, some kind of gull stopped of for a rest, again saw one ship on AIS in the distance and Steve had a shower. And it was another glorious sunny day. Chartplotter now says 29 hours to go, but it will probably be longer when hopefully we manage to sail a bit more. The banana bread was good.
