Lexington - Captain Bob: something light

I decided my last post was griping. Now for a lighter subject we will talk flags. When you enter a country you are supposed to put up a "Q" flag (yellow), stands for quarantine flag. It indicates that you have not cleared into the country. After you clear in you fly the courtesy flag of the country. We also have a World Arc flag that just makes a statement of our presence and advertises a little for World Cruising. The last flag is one that Sam designed and had made for us. It has LEX. ING. TON, each three letters over each other in a block and then American flag stripes. It is the logo on our blog.
For the country flags we found a good cheap supplier for flags that might not last a long time. When flags wear they fray from the edges, so I sewed a light webbing around the edge of each flag with plastic rings on the corners that I ordered from Sailrite.com ( an excellent site).
So that is your lesson on flag etiquette.
We are looking forward to having Prince and Jim on the boat tomorrow.
I hope I do not bore you too much but a lot of people like information.
Below is a photo of our flags.
