We are still experiencing extremely light conditions but making slow progress towards St Lucia - last night was deemed film night and James set up his MacBook Pro on the hatch and with Keith's Bose sound dock thing over blue tooth we enjoyed Independence Day with a glass of freshly made water from the water maker and mars bar - fab

Today is calm again - we are attempting to make a bit of south where (apparently) there might be a bit. Of wind but steering 240 results in a fairly limp spinnaker and most of the time 4 knots of apparent wind which will take us 48 hours, so we are compromising between speed a and direction to minimise the distance to go - iPad says 1445 miles :-(

Fresh Meat in the fridge is still ok although now only 4 or 5 meals to go, so tins are on the horizon and we are planning to bake bread tomorrow as the last of the long life bread we bought in las palmas will be done for lunch today - milk is still plentiful and for uht tastes remarkably pleasant

It's still 30 degrees in the shade and last night we were visited by a dozen or so dolphins doing their thing on the bow which I have filmed - hopefully this time in focus

Anyway that's about it - I am pretty sure we won't make it to St Lucia for the 17th but cling on to the remote possibility if the wind makes an appearance

All now wondering if these rumoured trade winds will actually make an appearance or not
