Jasmine - Day 6

Another day dawns and all aboard Jasmine are well.
We are making good progress in the correct direction now that the wind is in the east and continues at force 4 to 5.
We moved the clock back one hour tonight,we estimate that we need to move the clock back one hour every five days to synchronise the boat with the later setting of the sun as we go west and to match the time in St Lucia when we arrive, they are four hours behind Ireland and 5 hours behind Europe.
We have completed work on the water maker and have now moved our focus to the generator. As in life ashore small problems arrive that need sorting, in between the very many moments of beauty and happiness. It just appears to have a more compressed timeframe at sea. We are doing perfectly well by running the engine to generate power for navigation and communication.
The weather refuses to be sunny however and we are all looking forward to some sun.We seemed to be locked in rain squall alley today as one after another tracked across
our path , welcome as they are for the wind that carries us westward, some sun would be nice .
The fruit and veg that we stored in the hanging baskets is beginning to go off and we threw mandarins overboard today . We are eating the bananas as fast as we can and our carrots are going off also . The apples and oranges are perfect still as are some appetizing looking leeks.
