Not much to report today. We made good progress along the rhumb line with the wind just aft the beam and holding steady at 17 to 18 knots. The forecast was for the wind to go more south easterly and just before dark that started to happen so with the remaining daylight we rigged the pole to port, trimmed forward, and set the genoa wing on wing with the main to starboard. As we have found in the past this is an amazingly effective rig with the apparent wind anything greater than 120 degrees,

Supper was a lamb tagine with couscous and we are back in our routine of a sundowner, non-alcoholic, together at about 1930, Elizabeth eating at some time before midnight and me eating after I take over the watch at 0200 ish. This may not work for everyone but it has worked very well for us over many nights at sea.

No photographs were taken today. I forgot to mention in yesterday’s entry that I had a wonderful dolphin display in the late afternoon. There were some reasonable in focus shots and this unfortunately fuzzy one which shows just how they fly
