Timshel - St Lucia to Santa Marta Day 4.

Distance run, noon to noon: 143 nm. We seem to be making progress, and in the correct direction, but still last apart from one of the catamarans. Reefed the main for overnight. A visitor arrived in the middle of the night - a dark grey/black bird with white patch on the head circled round and landed on the lifebuoy. And there it stayed for 6 hours, until we started the generator early in the morning (bit noisy). We consulted the Caribbean bird book, reckon it might have been a Black Noddy. The other significant event is that we are now on a "proper" paper chart, rather than one that looks like a road atlas. Good chat on the SSB this morning, maybe we can get together in port to trouble shoot overheating generators as there seem to be at least 3. Ours will run so long as you have the cover off and the locker door open. We have deployed the shark (towed charger)to contribute to the power budget.
