Arthur Logic - Arthur Logic - At Sea

Introducing Team All Black

"The All Black are the most admired sports team in the world. They are a legacy." So says Grum, who on the first day of our voyage boldly appropriated this very legacy for his watch, naming them Team All Blacks.

And how does Team All Black, aka TAB, measure up to their legendary antipodean namesakes? Well watch leader Tanya "Snow White" Sullivan is certainly one to take on a physical challenge and is a keen Tough Mudderer when on land (and a highly capable swimmer at sea, more of that later), though on her last outing she did suffer a twisted knee while hurtling over an obstacle.

In this respect she is well matched with Mike "Grum" Grumbridge, who's fabled love of sport is surpassed only by his legendary ability to attract injuries off the field. For an eyewitness account of how one such injury took place, contact Prue at Sailing Logic HQ. She's never been the same since.

It therefore seems natural that the third member of this motley crew is Phil "Pinnell" Pinnell, a man famed from Gran Canaria to Grimsby for his commitment to observing the highest standards of health and safety wherever he goes. Consequently he manages to remain generally injury-free, with the exception of an episode involving a bloody tshirt, but the less said about that the better.

So, All Blacks they ain't, but these three intrepid explorers are looking to secure their own legacy aboard the legendary Arthur Logic.

And how is the quest going? Well, not too bad at all. In spite of some disappointing wind, the crew is making impressive progress through the ARC bucket list, ranging from witnessing a crash on the start line (all involved thankfully unharmed) to spotting young Wales and dolphins, and even getting in our first exhilarating Atlantic swim.

The fish continue to elude our lines, but we remain eternally optimistic, and we need to keep something new for the days ahead. [Ed - it's only been 24 hours...]

Right, the wind has picked up again and dinner is smelling delicious so thats all from us today but stay tuned for our next installment!
