Timshel - Cocos to Mauritius Day 7

Sailing along downwind, sails wing and wing all day, but may change over to a reach soon to head back south to the rhumb line. At the front of the fleet Influencer (with the 2 Australian Olympians aboard) has overtaken Emily Morgan, Air Power is still ahead but she left over 3 days in advance. At the back the catamaran Spirit of Catherine and Adrienne are behind us, Callisto and Le Aum 30 miles or so ahead. Lydia is sailing very well 20 to nm in front of them. Le Aum is the other small boat in the fleet, also 40ft but newer and racier. We found the provisions available at Cocos to be better than expected, not a great variety of f fruit and veg but we did get good cabbage, carrots and onions, also frozen mince beef and some very nice casserole lamb. Without a freezer we can't carry that much fresh meat and the last of the lamb will be eaten tonight I think. But we have plenty of salami, cheese, eggs, lentils, a spiced ham (these always have a very long date) and then there are the tins that we should eat occasionally rather than just carrying them about. So plenty of rations. So far we have done about 930 miles, 1430 to go.
