Laura Dawn - Pacific Log 12: Bumpy old road

We seem to have been at sea for more days than logs: sorry about that, I'm not sure what we've been doing with our time quite honestly! Sleep has been eluding us certainly for the last 24 - 48 hours. Sometimes time passes quickly laying waiting for your watch and sometimes its there in a flash.

Its been a bumpy old road for the last 2 days, with squalls holding up to 33 knots of wind, needing sharp eyes and some quick reefing and sail rolling attention. We've surfed down what feel like whopping waves, sometimes grinning with excitement like little kids at the fun fair at what speed the digits say we will have reached and sometimes just gritting teeth and holding on! The decks have had a good wash too, with Martin getting the scrubbing brush out in the last rain squall! Currently we have 20 - 22 knots of wind from the east and 7 - 8 knots of boat speed with one reef in the main and 3 rolls in the genoa. The current is pushing us west thankfully so helping us along.

We are getting closer.. 637 miles to go... still no fish :(
