Ngahue IV - HR53 Ngahue IV now in Las Palmas for the ARC

Marco and Laura have finally made it to Las Palmas. The trip was pretty long, stretching from July (departure in Belgium) to November (arrival in Gran Canaria & Las Palmas). But to be fair, a lot of that time we were back in Brussels, working and preparing for the final countdown to join this year's ARC. After more than a week spent in Marina Lanzarote in Arrecife) we managed to get to Las Palmas just before the final deadline, arriving in the Muelle Deportivo marina at quarter past one in the morning of 12th November. We managed to take on fuel and park the boat in what will be our berth for the next week in time for the festive opening of the ARC 2017 today at midday. 21 flags and lots of people in a colourful parade and beautiful weather to make for a happy event. We're now busily doing our "homework": filling in the forms and providing the ARC organisation with all the information they need to contribute towards our safe crossing of the Atlantic. Tomorrow sees the safety inspection team on board and a visit from the Hallberg-Rassy support team from Sweden.
With our best wishes - Marco & Laura.
