Exocet Strike - St Helena

We've been looking forward to getting to St Helena for a number of years since we planned to do this trip. We are not disappointed. The island has a population of approx 4000, with almost no unemployment. Wages aren't high but everyone seems to have a car, and a reasonable standard of living. The climate is great and everyone is so friendly. The mooring field where we are is very calm and pleasant. Reading from the various pilot books we expected it to be roly and uncomfortable, that isn't the case at all. Plus there is an excellent ferry service which runs every hour on the hour from 0700 to 1800 then at 2000 and 2200, for £2 return up until 1890 then £3 return. Makes the Fowey water taxi look expensive!
Today we are off on a wreck dive, maybe a dive with Whale Sharks. This afternoon and evening on a Charabanc tour of the island in a 1932 Charabanc, stopping at a rum distillery and a house/restaurant for a local meal.
