Hanse Sailor - and we have SUNSHINE!

“25:05,93N 34:27,94W”
So, today we see lots of SUN, SEA and..... Swimwear
The sun is shining and the sea is calm, and the crew of Hanse Sailor, who as a reminder are “racing” in division C, took advantage and have been having a whale of a time swimming and sunbathing, All part of the pressure we have to endure being part of a mean keen racing machine.
Of course there has also been lots of hard work taking place on board ...Toilet issue finally fixed, thanks to our wonderful Skipper who decided to spend his night-watch shift fixing it in pitch black (much easier to bear!) and left his watch-partner “first time sailing ever girl’ to manage the 1 knot winds all alone! But having broken the record for most miles sailed in 3 hours the night before he knew she’d manage well!
We also got round to finally practising a Man Overboard procedure when winds suddenly picked up and 2 of our crew were still having a swim! Once again well done to our wonderful Skipper who noticed them being left behind even though he had contributed to lightening the wine cellar at our macaroni cheese, salad and wine lunch.
And with the only other gust of wind we had all day today, we also almost lost ‘little’ Dan whilst he was doing what he thought at the time was a great idea of washing-up directly in the sea whilst lying on the bathing platform only to be left hanging on when we went from 3 knots to 20 knot winds in a matter of seconds.
Our sailor ‘men’ seem to have been well trained as another one was baking fresh bread today, which should hopefully be ready in time for breakfast in the morning, if anyone remembers to put it in the oven!
Time to go and enjoy yet another beautiful Sunset....... goodnight all! What a tough Monday in the office that was today !!
Signing off First timer, record breaker and blogger.

Today found us having yet another swimming sun bathing and cooking ,baking day o Hanse Sailor . Rob preparing the Mosaka (?? spelling ) and Paddy still trying to get a fish with our 6 section fishing line after a bit of a 360 a few days ago nicely wrapped it around the keel. we have seen that the fish are around as they have played tag with our safety line we use for running behind us to help with loss of crew when swimming.
Must check on the position report after our surprise yesterday when we realised we had caught up with Scarlet Oyster by 5 miles when our speed was averaging 3 miles an hour . they are only 75 miles now but who knows today.
Buy from skipper and will try to get someone new to blog tomorrow or thursday
