Paw Paw - Log Day 174: One of Life's Mysteries

Another day of chores - Laundry day this time, but no sooner had Elaine completed her first load in the little washing machine, she then wasn't able to get the machine to work for the next load. Totally frustrated and upset that she may not have a washing machine any longer, she proceeded to wash what she could by hand.

When Roy returned from filling the jerry cans with diesel, Elaine conveyed the news, only to discover that Roy had inadvertently switched off the inverter on his way out which supplies AC power to Paw Paw and is the power source that the washing machine uses.

While w both tried to fathom why on earth Roy would have switched it off, when it was only a few minutes earlier that he turned it on, so that Elaine could use the washing machine, will remain one of life's mysteries no doubt. Guess we're all entilted to our senior moments these days. The important thing is that it still works - Thank goodness!

In the interim, we're getting Paw Paw ready and watching the weather for a decent weather window to set sail for American and Western Somoa via Surwarrow. It could be a longer wait than we would prefer, but there's no downside to being "stuck" in Bora Bora!
