Dala - Leg 2 - Bermuda to Horta - 2nd sailing day

Hi, all,

We are now in our 2nd sailing day toward Horta and so far so good:

We had most of the time good wind, even too good since it was downwind and on a catamaran we prefer a broad reach. So we took the option to go North for about 24 h, not a bad option considering we better stay North of the direct route. About four hours ago we gybed and are currently enjoying a smooth and fast sailing, starboard broad reach and making good progress.

So, a few minutes ago, I had one of those tiny but gigantic pleasures who make sailing great: I drank a delicious coffee while eating a not less delicious dark chocolate, seating in the forward cockpit (what a great idea, this cockpit), and watching the sea, feeling the boat gliding on the swell, WOW!! Life is good!

More good news:

- Joelle my lovely Lady was not seasick at all since we left for this second leg, looks like she his adapting herself pretty nicely (for the ones of you who may not know, she is the daughter of a farmer, born in a farm, grew about 120 miles from the sea, etc... definitely a land woman!). She is really brave.

- As a consequence of the above, we are eating delicious food, Joelle being an exceptional cooker.

- Since our start in the British Virgin Islands, we go along very well with the third member of the team, Richard. He is very experienced and helpful.

So, friends and family, don't worry, be happy!

Albert
