Firefly - Almost there

We now have 170 miles to go. Landfall is anticipated on Wednesday early evening. We think six boats have already made it, some who left Galapagos early, with the next group of 10 to 15 yachts (including us) following on in over the next 36 hours. The radio net at 9.00 AM local time this morning suggested that we were likely to enjoy good winds all the way. However, shortly after we were down to less than 8 knots and starting thinking about a later ETA. During the lull we put up the parasailor which has allowed us to sail straight down wind, exactly in the direction of the Marquesas. Within an hour the wind has built up again from the East and we are now sailing along at 6 knots in 12 knots of wind. We have in the past tried various configurations, surprisingly today the parasailor is working better without the mainsail - so just the one sail up and its in the right place to shade us from the sun!
