Starla - Log Day 15 - Over half way

Hello Everyone,

Distance logged today - 128 nautical miles. Distance to date this trip - 1722 nautical miles. Remaining miles to St Lucia 1339.

It is a nice feeling to be over half way and counting down the distance to St Lucia.

Yesterday afternoon we had light south westerly breeze 5 - 8 knots. This persisted through the night. This morning the wind is in the west and we are pushing north west to get more breeze further north. Not a direct route, but this should pay off in the long term. The wind will lighten in the south.

We did not catch any fish, but had two bites from Tuna. One got off a long way behind the boat, but the other, Brian managed to get right behind the boat. The fish then dived deep and managed to get off. We really thought that we had that one. A big one it was, honest!

So dinner was tuna (tinned) in a tomato, onion and garlic sauce, over boiled spuds. Colin was chef, and it tasted great!

No sightings of the chocolate fridge mouse today. Ration stocks are still holing up.

A cloudy day today.

Note: Yesterdays log should have read, day 14.

Regards,

Starla Crew
