Albatros - ALBATROS Day 11

Last night we celebrated the 'Half-Time' with a can of beer (Polar Pils from Venezuela) for everyone.
Before we enjoyed a delicious Spaghetti Bolognaise with Parmesan Cheese.

The night was more or less dominated by NNE Winds which brought us a speed between 5 and 8 knots. The 1 min showers were rather seldom.

We read on our instruments 1292 nautical miles to go.

The showers on the deck with several bins of saltwater are very refreshing and one can observe this procedure more often than the first week before.

The swell is still moving Albatros in every direction and sometimes we see some flying fish above the waves.
The speculations about the number of days which are ahead is a daily topic on board.
The shifts on deck are still the same as we left Las Palmas. 3hours at night and 4hours during the day. 6am-10am, 10am-2, 2-6, 6-9, 9-midnight, midnight to 3, 3-6. All based on UTC time,
Nic and Mike, Clemens with Manfred, Michael and Alfredo, Christopher and Reto. Walter is mainly working in the kitchen because he has to protect his toe. We also defined one person per day to be responsible for the dishes.
Now we are going to shift sails, therefore we close the blog for today.

Happy Sailing
