Moondancer - Wednesday 4th December 10.50 AM (clock back 1 hour)

The one that got away!
I can confirm the story put out by maintenance
The reel was a screaming and I caught it all on film, it looked like a small boy jumping out of the water.
Talking of film, we know you ladies love a sunset and we are seeing spectacular ones, so we made an effort to capture one on film the way we thought appropriate.
Drinking beer, with "i'm a lazy sod" by the Sex Pistols as a soundtrack heading at it to the West.

For those following our progress,if any-
In laymans terms think of it as a Formula 1 race.
There is the racing division and multi hull division consisting of 63 boats who set off before us,subtract 63 from our position.
Then there is cruising division in groups A-G etc, in terms of faster boats. We are in Group E.
The racing division are like Red Bull and Ferrari, the A cruising like Marussia and Caterham and being in E we are like the bloke who turns up in the paddock on race day in a Morris Minor Traveller, sticks a number on the side and gives it a go.So you can imagine our excitement when at the beginning we caught the Racing and A's. I almost wet myself!
We know where we should be, but if we get in the mix with anybody we'll give it a bloody good go.Particularly the big German boat who try to wave us away when we overtook him a few hours in.

With the total lack of wind, thoughts turn to christmas and the fact we might spend it in the middle of the Atlantic.
I've reassured Butch and Rob that not only will we see Santa crossing the night sky (those aren't shooting stars it's Santa practising)he will also drop our presents down the centre hatch.
You should have seen their little faces light up!

Anyway wind is coming up - please- off to catch a fish which could cause a lot of tears from Butch, until he has it with chips
